Just after sunset and long before dawn,

the teeth have been brushed, and baths have been drawn.

To the chirping of crickets, outside on the lawn.

Wide awake in their beds, no juice to drink,

Luna and Soleil sleep hardly a wink.

All their walls crawl with monsters, that’s what they think!

No sheep left to count, sleepy girls? Don’t be distraught.
